Welcome to the BGOS-NDP members-only area of our website for discussing policy resolutions. Before we can do this seriously, we need some practice in submitting resolutions and commenting on them. So this is just a dummy resolution that we can have some fun and practice.
Whereas the ONDP and federal NDP send way too many fund-raising e-mails during the year, to the point of annoyance, and this aggressive SPAMMING may actually be hurting our membership numbers, be it resolved that the federal and provincial offices of the NDP limit their fundraising e-mails to just once very 3 months during non-election periods and to no more than once per week during election campaigns.
OK, now that this is open for discussion, add your replies below. Because our discussions are moderated, Your reply will only be visible to you until the moderator approves it. And there may be a delay before the moderator approves it, so be patient. And because only BGOS-NDP members are involved in these discussions your comments will be as private as if they had been made at an NDP meeting.

Bob, It seems, correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems that this executive only test isn’t getting many comments. I would be interested in hearing their experiences with accessing and navigating the forum. I think I’ll send out a few emails. In the meantime maybe we should test it out on our comments. I’ll send you a few. for you to experiment with. Maybe you could do the same.
I have a problem with my NGD post. It came out center aligned. I can edit it by changing it to bold and can italicize it, but I can’t get the original to shift to left align. Suggestions?

Besides changing the formatting, it will also include instructions on inserting links to other on-line material, inserting pictures, graphs or charts.
Unfortunately, in these replies to Posts, the only formatting that is possible is what is shown under the “You may use these HTML tags and attributes” if you know how to use them.

I agree the fundraising letters are annoying…do they lose more engagement than they gain in money?

Thanks for your comment Karen. The trouble is that it is easy to measure the donations that come in after each appeal, but the lost engagement can only be measured in bulk, after the next election. This is a bold statement.
